Terms Of Membership
- Eligibility:Members must be of Wamusyi (Ukamba)heritage or have a genuine connection to the Wamusyi community through marriage or any other valid relationships.
- Application Process: Prospective members should complete an official application form, providing relevant personal and ancestry details.
- Membership Fees:Members may be required to pay an annual membership fee to support the activities and initiatives of the Wamusyi Diaspora Association.
- Commitment to Wamusyi Values: Members are expected to uphold and promote the cultural values, traditions, and customs of the Wamusyi community.
- Participation in Association Activities:Members are encouraged to actively participate in association events, cultural celebrations, community service, and initiatives that promote and support the Wamusyi culture.
- Voting Rights:Full members in good standing may have the right to vote in general meetings, leadership elections, and other important decisions of the association.
- Code of Conduct:Members must adhere to a code of conduct that reflects the principles and values of the Wamusyi Diaspora Association.
- Termination of Membership: Membership may be terminated for violations of the association’s rules, unethical behavior, or actions detrimental to the Wamusyi community.
- Leadership Structure:The association will have a leadership structure, including positions like President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Board Members. The process for selecting or electing leaders will be outlined in the association’s bylaws.
- Benefits of Membership: Membership offers access to economic & cultural resources, social support, educational programs, and networking opportunities within the Wamusyi Diaspora community.
- Residency Requirement:There may be a provision for members residing in the diaspora to maintain their membership, as the association aims to connect and engage Wamusyi individuals and families around the world.
